Remember: Anti-lock doesn‘t change the time you need to get your foot up to Ithe brake pedal or always decrease stepping distance. It" you get too close to the vehicle in front of you. you won‘t have time to apply your brill-res if that vehicle suddenly slows or stops. A] ways leave enough room up ahead to stop. even though you have anti-lock brakes.

Using Anti-Louis

Don't pump thc bruises. Just hold the brake pedal down firmly and let anti—lock work for you. You may fuel a slight brake pedal pulsation or notice some noise. but this is normal.

'I‘raction Control System {It Equipped}

Your vehicle may have a traction control system that limits wheel spin. This is especially useful in slippery load conditions. The sy stern operates only if it senses that one or hoth nfthe front wheels on: Spinning or beginning to lose traction. 1When this happens. the system works the front brakes and reduces engine power to limit wheel spin.

You may I'eel or hear the system working. but this is normal.
